2 lbs. prunes - cover with water and cook until soft.
Chop when they cool
Add:
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
Add about 1 tlbs. butter or marjarine and mix well.
Cool
Can add 1 pint applesauce, if desired.
